10am to 4pm
Perfectionism involves putting pressure on ourselves to meet high standards which then powerfully influences the way we think about ourselves. There is a big difference between the healthy and helpful pursuit of excellence and the unhealthy and unhelpful striving for perfection.
Let go of perfectionism. Live a wholehearted life.
We don’t talk about what keeps us eating until we’re sick, busy beyond human scale, desperate to numb and take the edge off, and full of so much anxiety and self-doubt that we can’t act on what we know is best for us. We don’t talk about the hustle for worthiness that’s become such a part of our lives that we don’t even realize that we’re dancing. -Brene Brown, The Gifts of Imperfection
During this art therapy group, we will use expressive arts techniques to dive into the roots of our perfectionism, while learning to let go of the things that get in the way of joy, connection, and meaning in our lives.
